Stalo Zarouna is a cognitive rehabilitation therapist at NOESIS Cognitive Center and Tech Solutions. Since 2018 she has been working as the head of Psychosocial Department at Thalpori Unit.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-primary Education, a Master of Arts in Cognitive and Educational Psychology of the University of Cyprus and a Master of Science in Brain Sciences of the University of Glasgow.

In the last years Stalo works with people of third age with a wide range of diseases (Mild Cognitive Impairment, Alzheimer, Parkinson and more), assessing their needs in an individualized manner, in order to promote their quality of life.

She has experience in organizing personal and group cognitive enhancement sessions, as well as different subjects’ activities to motivate the elderly, to improve their mood, to preserve their skills/capabilities, even to enrich their whole cognitive, emotional and functional state, where is possible.

As the head of psychosocial department in an elderly care and rehabilitation unit, she trains healthcare professionals how to handle and behave with people of third age, especially the ones with cognitive impairment (e.g. dementia).

We have experience in cognitive impairments as a result of a brain-affecting disorder.
