Dr. Sotiria Moza
Cognitive Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology MSc, PhD, EUROPSY
Dr Sotiria Moza holds a BSc in Psychology, an MSc specialising in Cognitive Psychology and Neuropsychology, and a PhD in Psychology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is a licensed psychologist (Licence No. GR 24/8061) and a EuroPsy-certified psychologist in Clinical and Health Psychology (GR-239531-202510). She also has knowledge of Cypriot Sign Language, facilitating communication with and support for Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.
She has extensive clinical training and supervised clinical practice, as well as many years of experience in the neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation of individuals with cognitive, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. She also has substantial experience supporting people living with depression, anxiety, and chronic health conditions. Her work places particular emphasis on developing effective coping skills, improving emotional and behavioural regulation, and enhancing quality of life.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing primarily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques and adapting them to the individual needs of each client. She places strong emphasis on empathy, collaboration, and the creation of a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
Committed to continuous professional development, Dr Moza has delivered more than 100 scientific presentations at national and international conferences in the fields of psychology and neuropsychology. She regularly participates in scientific conferences and professional training programmes, integrating the latest research evidence into her clinical practice. She is also actively involved in assistive technologies and the application of innovative digital tools in mental healthcare.
Dr Moza is a member of the International Neuropsychological Society (INS), the International Society to Advance Alzheimer’s Research and Treatment (ISTAART), the Hellenic Neuropsychological Society, the Association of Greek Psychologists, the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS), the Hellenic Society for Neuroscience, and the Society for Neuroscience (SfN). She served as Membership Chair of ISTAART’s Alzheimer’s Association International Research Network on Aging, Women and Alzheimer’s (AWARE) Professional Interest Area (2021-2025) and represents Cyprus as a Management Committee member of the COST Action PROGRAMMING. She is also a member of the World Health Organization working group contributing to the development of the WHO Dementia Research Blueprint.
Alongside her clinical work, she is a postdoctoral researcher at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, working on Superageing.
